While working in Martha’s Vineyard I get to visit with two of my favorite people of all time, Caitlin Cook & Calder Martin. Due to give birth in five days Caitlin is ready to burst. She looks amazing!

English folkie Michael Chapman plays a sweet, somber tune after being interviewed for the biopic Fully Qualified Survivor… In December 2006 after shooting for the documentary All Tomorrow’s Parties in Minehead,UK I headed up north to a small farm near Haltwhistle. Michael and his wife Andru have lived at Wrytree Farm for close to thirty years. Located down the road from Hadrian’s Wall and the raw Scottish landscape, the farm is truly a magical place. Rumor has it that Michael Chapman will tour the US with Jack Rose next fall… Fingers crossed…
Recently I attended the Hot Docs FF for the premiere of a short doc I produced and Gabe Rhodes directed called Behind the Glass. While I was in Toronto I met up with an Etsy seller, artist Elizaveta who makes giant, playful, handmade necklaces using all sorts of wacky stuff. Music by Barry London! Thank you Barry…
(note: this was shot handheld on a tiny AVCHD Panasonic camera with the on board mic, not too shabby..)
Angela Means and Joel Winter took their vows on May 2nd, 2008. The ceremony was in a field behind the Hotel Bethlehem in Bethlehem, PA and the reception was at Christian’s Spring in Nazareth, PA. Turned out to be a lovely sunny day. We drank lemonade and grandma Winter told me all about the polka tent at the local music fest. Julie, Jenny and I tried to break into a haunted school house near the bar. My bobbin pin didn’t do the trick, but I tried for a very very long time haha… Check out more photos here http://flickr.com/thirdeyebutterfly
Saw a few bands at the Sunday showcase of the No Fun festival May 18th, 2008. Here are some shots from Sudden Infant and Lee Ranaldo: Blind Piece. Pete Nolan rocked the drums hard. Go Pete! Check out some more pics here http://flickr.com/photos/thirdeyebutterfly

My buddy Doug Mosurock and I got to check out The Sword show last Saturday night. Torche opened with a heavy doom pop sound and then The Sword laid down some classic metal. The pit was totally nuts. Headed to Duffs afterwards for beers. Felt like Queens in 1985 haha…
I first discovered 1AEON’s work last year on my birthday. Every year my good pal Abbey would get my a nice gift that was slightly off haha (your the best Abbey!). Last year she gave me an incredible owl tote bag that she was sure I would love and she was right. Once I started working for Etsy I decided I wanted to shoot a piece about the man behind my perfect gift… Gabe Molnar of 1AEONsays his designs often come from his dreams. The fantastical imagery includes lions, dragons, skulls and owls (“since before all the owl hype” as Gabe says). I was very inspired to meet the maker behind 1AEONand hear his story.
Wizz Jones and Bridget St. John played the Tapestry Club at the Aloysius Social Club in London November 20th, 2007. The placed was packed with young and old folkies. The club is in the basement of an old church. It had pink striped wallpapered walls and a cozy vibe. Shooting this event and going on a mini tour with Bridget was a real treat.
This is the last post in the VBS series of Neurosis at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple. I’m psyched that VBS aired these songs uncut. Neurosis alone played for about and hour plus we shot another hour of Mastodon. Can’t wait for that footage to hit VBS because its heavy. Thanks to all the other shooters and Brendan Fitzgerald and Logan Leichtman at VBS for making this such an awesome project to work on. Hopefully there will be more to come…
